Pob peth a roddir i'r nêb a garo ac a ofno Dduw, ond er i'r annuwiol lwyddo dros amser, etto hwy a ddarfyddant.)
1 Na ddala ddrygdyb yn dy ben,
nac o gynfigen ronyn,
Er llwyddo'r enwir,
a wnai gam:
cai weled llam yn canlyn.
2 Sef hwy a dorrir
fel gwellt glâs,
neu lysiau diflas gwywon:
A hwy a grinant yn ddilwydd,
a hynny'n ebrwydd ddigon.
3 Cred yn yr Arglwydd, a gwna dda,
gobeithia yr hyn gorau:
Bydd ymarhous yn y tir,
di a borthir yn ddiau.
4 Bydd di gysurus yn dy Dduw,
di a gei bob gwiw ddymuniad:
5 Dy ffyrdd cred iddo, yn ddilys
fe rydd d'ewyllys attad.
6 Cred yntho ef, fo'th ddwg i'r lann,
myn allan dy gyfiownder:
Mor olau a'r haul hanner dydd,
fal hynny bydd d'eglurder.
7 Ymddiried i Dduw, disgwyl, taw,
a heb ymddigiaw
gronyn:
Er llwyddo'i ddrygddyn
ei fawr fai,
yr hwn a wnai yn gyndyn.
8 Paid â'th ddig, na ofidia chwaith:
gad ymaith wyllt gynddaredd:
Rhag i hynny dyfu i fod,
yn bechod yn y diwedd.
9 Oherwydd hyn, disgwyl yr Ion,
gwyl ddiwedd dynion diffaith:
A disgwyl ef: meddianna'r tir,
a'r drwg f'oi torrir ymaith.
10 Goddef y drygddyn dros dro bâch,
ni welir mwyach honaw,
Ti a gai weled y lle y bu,
heb ddim yn ffynnu ganthaw.
11 Ond y rhai ufydd a hawddgâr,
y ddaiar a feddiannant:
Ar rhei'ni a thagnhefedd hir,
diddenir yn eu meddiant.
12 Bwriada'r drygddyn
o'i chwerw ddaint,
ar ddrygu braint
cyfiownddyn:
13 Duw yn ei watwar yntau a fydd,
sy'n gweled dydd ei derfyn:
14 Ynnylu bwa, tynnu cledd,
yw trowsedd yr annuwiol,
Er llâdd y truan:
fel dydd brawd,
i'r tlawd a'r defosionol.
15 Ei fwa torrir
yn ddellt mân,
a'i gledd a â'n ei galon:
16 Mawr yw golud yr ysceler,
ond gwell prinder
y cyfion.
17 Yr Arglwydd a farn
bob rhyw fai,
tyr freichiau'r
rhai annuwiol,
Ac ef a gynnail yn ddi ddig,
y cyfion, ystig, gweddol.
18 Sef ef edwyn Duw ddyddiau,
a gwaith pob rhai
o berffaith helynt:
Ac yn dragywydd Duw a wnaeth,
deg etifeddiaeth iddynt.
19 Efe a'i ceidw hwynt i gyd,
na chânt ar ddrygfyd
wradwydd:
Amser newyn hwyntwy a gânt,
o borthiant ddigonolrwydd.
20 Y rhai traws enwir, heb ddim cwyn,
fel brasder wyn a doddant:
Caseion Duw fydd dynion drwg,
hwy gyda'r mwg diflannant.
21 Y gwr annuwiol a fyn ddwyn
yn echwyn, byth ni thalai:
A'r gwr cyfion trugarog fydd,
ac a rydd, nis gommeddai.
22 Sawl a fendigo Duw (yn wir)
y tir a etifeddan:
A'r rhai a felldithio, o'r tir
i gyd a fwrir allan.
23 Duw a fforddia, ac a hoffa,
hyffordd y gwr calonnog:
24 Er ei gwympo efe ni friw,
fo'i deil llaw Dduw 'n sefydlog.
25 Aethym i bellach yn wr hen,
bum fachgen 'rwy'n cydnabod:
Ni welais adu
hâd gwr da,
na cheisio'i bara 'ngherdod.
26 Echwyn a benthyg cair bob dydd,
trugarog fydd y cyfion:
A'i hâd ef drwy y nefol wlith,
a gaiff o'i fendith ddigon.
27 Arswyda ddrwg, a gwna di dda,
a chyfanedda rhag llaw:
28 Cans Duw a gâr y farn ddidwn,
ninnau a roddwn arnaw.
Nid ymedy efe â'i Saint,
ceidw heb haint y rhei'ni:
Ond hâd yr annuwiolion gau
a ddont i angau difri.
29 Y ddaear caiff
y cyfion gwyl,
lle y preswyl
byth mewn iawndeb:
30 A'i enau mynaig wybodaeth,
a'i dafod traeth 'ddoethineb.
31 Deddf ei Dduw y sydd yn ei fron,
a'i draed (gan hon) ni lithrant:
32 Dyn drwg a ddisgwyl lâdd y da,
ond ni chaiff yna ffyniant.
33 Ni âd yr Arglwydd
(er ei gais,
nac er ei falais lidiog:)
Y gwirion yn ei waedlyd law,
i hwn ni ddaw barn euog.
34 Gobeithia yn yr Arglwydd tau,
a chadw ei llwybrau'n gywir:
Cei feddiannu,
cei uwch o radd,
a gweled lladd yr enwir.
35 Gwelais enwir yn llym ei big,
a'i frig fel gwyrddbren lawri:
36 Chwilais, a cheifiais yr ail tro,
'r oedd efo wedi colli.
37 Ystyria hefyd y gwr pur,
ac edrych du'r cyfiownedd:
Di a gei weled cyfryw ddyn,
ma'i derfyn sydd tangnhefedd.
38 A gwyl y rhai drwy drais sy'n byw,
ynghyd i ddistryw
cwympant:
Fe a ddiwreiddir
plant y fall,
i ddiwedd gwall, a methiant.
39 Iechyd y cyfion
sy o Dduw Ner,
a'i nerth mewn amser cyffro:
40 Cymorth, ceidw, o ddrwg y tynn,
a hyn am gredu yntho.

Everything shall be given to anyone who loves and who fears God, but although the ungodly prosper for a time, still they shall perish.)
1 Do not hold evil thoughts in thy head,
nor a grain of envy,
Although the false prosper,
and do wrong:
thou shalt see misfortune following.
2 That is, they shall be cut
like green grass,
or miserable, withering herbs:
And they shall shrivel uselessly,
and that suddenly enough.
3 Believe in the Lord, and do good,
hope for the best:
Thou shalt be enduring in the land,
thou shalt be pastured undoubtedly.
4 Be comfortable in thy God,
thou shalt get every worthy request:
5 Thy ways entrust to him, unfailingly
he will give what thou wilt unto thee.
6 Believe in him, he shall bring thee up,
forth shall go thy righteousness:
As light as the sun of midday,
thus shall be thy clarity.
7 Trust in God, wait, be silent,
and without growing
the least bit angry:
Although the evil man's
great fault succeeds,
what he does obstinately.
8 Do not be angry, nor grieve either:
let wild fury go away:
Lest this grow to be,
sin in the end.
9 Because of this, wait for the Lord,
thou shalt see the end of wicked men:
And wait for him: possess the land,
and the evil shall be cut off.
10 Suffer the evil man for a short while,
he shall be seen no more,
Thou shalt get to see the place he was,
with nothing prospering from him.
11 But those obedient and beautiful,
the earth they shall possess:
And those with long tranquility,
shall enjoy their possession.
12 The evil man intends
from his bitter tooth
on abusing the privilege
of a righteous man:
13 God himself scorning him shall be,
who sees the day of his end:
14 Aiming a bow, drawing a sword,
are the transgression of the ungodly,
In order to kill the wretch:
like the day of judgment,
to the poor and the devout.
15 His bow shall be broken
into small shards,
and his sword shall go into his heart:
16 Great is the wealth of the predator,
but better the scarcity
of the righteous.
17 The Lord shall judge
every kind of fault,
he shall break the arms
of the ungodly ones,
And he shall uphold calmly,
the righteous, diligent, fair.
18 That is, he whose days God knows,
and the work of all those
of a perfect course:
And in eternity God shall make
a fair inheritance for them.
19 He shall keep them all,
they shall in an evil world
have no shame:
In a time of famine they shall have
of pasturing a sufficiency.
20 Those for falsehood, without complaint,
like fatness of lambs shall melt:
Hated by God shall evil men be,
they with the smoke shall vanish.
21 The ungodly man who insists on taking
as a loan, never would pay back:
And the righteous man shall be merciful,
and gives, he would not refuse.
22 Those God blesses (truly)
the land shall inherit:
And those he curses, from the land
altogether they shall be cast out.
23 God shall pave, and take delight in,
the highway of the hearty man:
24 Although he fall he shall not bruise,
the hand of God shall keep him secure.
25 I shall henceforth become an old man,
I was a boy I acknowledge:
I never saw forsaken
the seed of a good man,
nor seeking his bread, begging.
26 Credit and a loan they shall have daily,
merciful shall be the righteous:
And his seed through the heavenly dew,
shall sufficient from his blessing.
27 Fear evil, and do thou good,
and thou shalt inhabit henceforth:
28 Since God loves impartial judgment,
and we shall render it to him.
He will not leave his saints,
he will keep them without infection:
But the seed of the false, ungodly
shall come to an ignominious death.
29 The earth the righteous
shall get to see,
where they shall dwell
forever by right:
30 And his mouth shall express knowledge,
and his tongue shall expound wisdom.
31 The law of his God is in his breast,
and his feet (by this) shall not slip:
32 And evil man waits to kill the good,
but he shall get success there.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand
(despite his attempt,
or his wrathful malice either:)
The innocent in his bloody hand,
to him shall no guilty verdict come.
34 Hope in thy Lord,
and keep his paths truly:
Thou shalt get to possess,
thou shalt get a higher degree,
and see the killing of the false.
35 I saw a false one with his sharp peak,
and his top like a green laurel tree:
36 I sought, and I found the second time,
that he was missing.
37 Consider also the pure man,
and look towards the righteousness:
Thou shalt get to see such a man,
that his end is tranquility.
38 And see those through violence who live,
together to destruction
they shall fall:
The children of the pestilence
shall be uprooted,
to a false end, and failure.
39 The health of the righteous
is from the Lord God,
and his strength in a time of tumult:
40 Help, keeping, from evil he will pull,
and this for believing in him.

A psalm of David;
1 Fret not thyself
because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious
against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down
like the grass,
and wither
as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord,
and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land,
and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord:
and he shall give thee
the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth
thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment
as the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord,
and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him
who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth
wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger,
and forsake wrath:
fret not thyself
in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers
shall be cut off:
but those that wait upon the Lord,
they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while,
and the wicked shall not be:
yea, thou shalt diligently consider
his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall
inherit the earth;
and shall delight themselves
in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth
against the just,
and gnasheth upon him
with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him:
for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword,
and have bent their bow,
to cast down the poor and needy,
and to slay such as be
of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter
into their own heart,
and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches
of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked
shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth
the righteous.
18 The Lord knoweth
the days of the upright:
and their inheritance
shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed
in the evil time:
and in the days of famine
they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish,
and the enemies of the Lord shall be
as the fat of lambs:
they shall consume;
into smoke shall they consume away.
21 The wicked borroweth,
and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy,
and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him
shall inherit the earth;
and they that be cursed of him
shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man
are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not
be utterly cast down:
for the Lord upholdeth
him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; 36
yet have I not seen
the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth;
and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good;
and dwell for evermore.
28 For the Lord loveth judgment,
and forsaketh not his saints;
they are preserved for ever:
but the seed of the wicked
shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land,

34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way,

to inherit the land:

35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
and spreading himself
like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not:
yea, I sought him,
but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man,
and behold the upright:
for the end of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors
shall be destroyed together:
the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous
is of the Lord:
he is their strength
in the time of trouble.
40 And the Lord shall help them,
and deliver them:
he shall deliver them from the wicked,
and save them,
because they trust in him.
